There are some evenings

when the decisions you made

were not your best moves

There are some evenings

when you want to go out, but

your brain says, "Stay home!"

There are some evenings

when you want to go out, but

your body says, "no!"

There will come a night

when the choice you make will change

your life. No pressure.

slug imitation

There are some mornings

when the pains of last night have

eased, but not by much

Hummingbird buzzes

by this rainy day, brings some

color to my gray

Waiting for my next

meeting to begin, hoping

I'll soon be set free
